Social Objective:
a) Members in terms of the provisions contained in the trust deed instrument, e.g.

Provision (3) RECITAL "The Makeba Centre for Girls Trust now known as Dr. Miriam Makeba - Mama Africa Cultural & Social Trust in association committed to provide home care facilities for destitute girls;"

Provision (4) OBJECTS OF THE TRUST

Provision (4.1) "The principal object of the Trust shall be to advance the livelihoods of destitute girls and manage and control the activities of the Makeba Centre for Girls Trust now known as Dr. Miriam Makeba - Mama Africa Cultural & Social Trust"
Provision (4.2) "The further objects of the Trust shall be:

Provision (4.2.1) "to aid and assist non-governmental organizations whose aims, objectives and approach to work are consistent with those of the Trust and which are well positioned to provide home care in their areas of activity;"

Provision (4.2.2) "to develop support, financially and otherwise, from sources throughout South Africa to help advance the work of the Trust wherever possible;"

Provision (4.2.3) "to advance communication and national awareness of the plight of destitute girls in South Africa;"

Provision (4.2.4) "to create and develop community based projects which will involve the destitute girls;"
